About Mytralala

The problem

If part of your daily life happens in a language you don't read fluently, WhatsApp gets expensive. Every message means switching to a translator app, copying, pasting, reading, switching back, typing your reply in your own language, translating it the other way, copying again, switching again, sending. Multiply by a few messages a day, four contacts, a school chat group, and a few years of family-across-borders, and you're spending real minutes per day on the mechanics of translation rather than the conversation.

Mytralala removes the switching. Messages arrive in your language, you reply in your language, the people on the other side see it in theirs.

How it works (3 steps)

  1. Register an account at mytralala.ai/auth. Pick the language you want messages translated into. Free 14-day trial, no card required.
  2. Pair your WhatsApp by scanning a QR code, the same way you'd connect WhatsApp Web. Your WhatsApp account is the only place we read from or send to; we don't replace WhatsApp, we run alongside it.
  3. Start chatting in your own language. Incoming messages appear translated in our web UI; replies you type in your language are translated to the contact's language and sent through your WhatsApp account. Your phone's WhatsApp app still works normally.

What you'll see in the app

Each conversation shows two lines per message: the translation in your language at the top, and the original underneath with a small language tag (Spanish, Dutch, Ukrainian, etc.). You can switch the translation language per-contact (defaults to your account-wide setting). When a message mentions a date, time, or place, Mytralala extracts it and reminds you the day before — useful for school pickups, appointments, and group meetups buried in long threads.

Mytralala also learns your contacts: who's family, who's a colleague, what your kids' names are. That context makes translations natural rather than literal — your daughter's name stays your daughter's name, not its phonetic transliteration.

Who it's for

Parents in mixed-language school chat groups. People with partners or extended family in other countries. Expats keeping up with neighbours, contractors, and local services in a language they're still learning. Professionals managing international clients in WhatsApp threads. Anyone who's tired of copy-paste-translate-paste-copy.

Who runs Mytralala

Mytralala is operated by Mykhailo Kosynskyi as a sole proprietor (autónomo) registered in Spain. There is no incorporated company behind the service today; revenue and operations run through the operator's personal business registration.

Under the hood

Translation uses commercial large language models (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI GPT) rather than a single fixed translation engine — they handle context, register, and named entities better than older models. An embedding model stores the personal context you provide (family names, relationships, common topics) so translations stay natural across many conversations.
